Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Oversight and review of monthly financial statements including P&L, cash flow
• Oversight and review of monthly subsidiary submissions including the Monthly Business Report (MBR)
• Design and format financial reports for Deltek
• Development, design and format of periodic performance reporting as requested by the Chief Performance Officer and senior executives
• Develop documentation and training strategy for end-users
• Serve as a liaison with the I/T reporting group developing reports for Deltek users and troubleshooting issues
• Assist with all application upgrades and testing in the development environment
• Oversight responsibility for activities of the Financial Reporting & Consolidations group
• Prepare and conduct detail reviews of financial reports prepared for management, Board of Directors, shareholders, subsidiaries and outside parties
• Prepare internal financial analysis, variation analysis, special packages for Board of Directors meetings, segment report analysis, and financial statement footnotes
• Act as key coordinator across all business units to ensure timely and accurate flow of information to enable disclosure requirements to be met
• Stay abreast of activities in the Company and the industries NANA operates in to ensure that any effects are properly incorporated into the output of financial information
• Responsible for detailed review of monthly and annual financial statements and footnotes
• On an on-going basis, review new and emerging accounting standards and interpret, and communicate business impact of these changing standards on the external financial statement and disclosures.
Requirements
• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or MBA required (Big 4 background strongly preferred)
• Ideal candidate has 7-12 years of relevant work experience
• Experience supervising employees required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial and operational reporting
• Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Experience developing reporting tools throughout the implementation of enterprise resource planning and business intelligence systems
• Ability to conduct, direct and conclude on accounting research issues
• Ability to utilize operating systems and software to access data and generate reports
• Working knowledge of Deltek is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to communicate complex information in a manner that is simple and easy to understand
• Strong self-starter with critical thinking ability and consultancy mindset, ability and desire to take responsibility
• Must be able to meet numerous deadlines under tight time constraints
• Must have strong analytical ability
